The Emirati Genome Program is a significant national project that aims to draw a comprehensive genetic map for UAE citizens to accelerate the development of advanced preventive and personalised healthcare solutions for the nation’s present and future generations.

How to Participate?


Registration 2
Registration

Head to the nearest center with your Emirates ID to complete the registration process. You don’t need a prior appointment.

Consent form

Each participant is given an electronic copy of the consent form to read and sign.

Data encryption 4
Data encryption

Data obtained upon registration is encrypted. All data is protected in accordance with the highest standards of safety and security set and regulated by the UAE government.

DNA sample collection 5
DNA sample collection

A blood sample (8 ml) is drawn from adults, or two swabs from the inside of the cheek for children. A confirmation of participation is sent to each participant via text message.

Transfer and analysis of sample 6
Transfer and analysis of sample

Collected samples are transferred to the Omics Center of Excellence at G42 Healthcare where specialists will analyze the sample.
